From Mrs. Legg

I’m very glad that your child is in my class this year!  We’re going to have an exciting and productive first grade year.  We’ll be covering many new skills and concepts.  We’ll be learning how to add, subtract, count money, compute fractions, tell time and many more mathematical skills.  We’ll have shared and independent reading experiences.  Students will also be required to do a lot of reading at home.  We’ll be learning many phonemic rules and fluency strategies.

PARENTS WILL PLAY A HUGE ROLE IN THEIR CHILD BECOMING A SUCCESSFUL FIRST GRADER!

Lets please work together this year.  In this packet, I’ve outlined the important components of my classroom management and procedures.  Please take the time to read and refer to this throughout the year.  Remember sometimes things do change and I will notify parents of any changes.  Thanks for providing me with the opportunity to teach and nurture your child this year!
