Some Scary Statistics to Help Revive You!!!

RESEARCH SHOWS THAT…

* Ages 0 – 8 are used for learning-to-read , ages 8 and above are used for reading-to-learn

* Nine out of ten students who are not reading fluently at the end of the secon grade,w ill still not be reading fluently at the end of the tenth grade.

*  Only 20% of students who cannot hear rhyme will read fluently; most children should be exposed to rhyme for two years before they can hear it.

* If a child has two consecutive years , the recover rate for grade level reading is less that 10%
