Dear Parents,
This year for our Christmas classroom gift we will be trying a new idea. We will be making Christmas goody bags. We are asking that each child bring 19 “stocking stuffer” type items. These items can usually be found in multi-packs for relatively little expense. Some ideas are listed on the back of this page, but NO candy please. Many of these items can be found at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Wal-Mart, K-mart and Target. Students may still bring goody bags to be passed out to each classmate during our Christmas party (Note: these bags may contain candy since they will not be opened at school). Students MAY NOT pass out individualized gifts in-class.
Also, we will be celebrating with a Christmas Breakfast Party. Each student needs to bring $3.00 (cash –exact amount in labeled envelope) by Monday, December 14th). This will provide each student with a Jack’s sausage biscuit , drink and other various breakfast items (such as: doughnuts, muffins, brownies, cookies, etc). Parents and siblings may attend but food will be served for students ONLY. We have not yet receive the party date/time from the office; but when we get this information, we will send it home. Students may check out following the party.
Thanks,
First Grade Teachers
Please have all stocking stuffers and money turned in by Monday, December 14th!!!

Mrs. Legg’s Class
I’m going to start sending a grammar/math practice sheet home on Tuesday nights. This is not mandatory homework. It doesn’t have to be returned to me. I’ve had some parents ask for extra review so this will provide some help and practice. The grammar sheet will be a review of the sill we’re covering that week. The math sheet will be a review of addition problems and later on it will cover substraction problems. We’ll begin having timed math fact tests in the second semester. Students will then have facts to study every week. Thanks for your help and support.

Dear Parent’s/Caregivers:
We are beginning a school wide Holiday Cookie Dough Sale. The sale will run through November 18th. The cookie dough will be sold in 3 pound tubs for $12 and $14. Please help our school by participating in this fundraiser. The top 3 students that sell the most cookie dough will receive cash awards! This sale requires a small amount of work, but gives you the chance to make a big impact on our school. Please collect money for the cookie dough as you make your sales and return all orders and money to your child’s homeroom teacher. Delivery will be the week before we get out for Christmas, perfect for the holiday season or you may freeze the dough up to one year. Your help is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to call teh school if you have any questions.
